Question Senior Amb***ador Program

Has anyone done this before? I am starting one for the cl*** of 2011 and was looking for any tips you might have to make it work smoothly.

Also, how did you get the info out? I have postcards that I made to hand out in schools, but I am nervous about taking them. Who do I talk to? Do you drop them off with a letter or speak to someone?

I could really use any advice, I have never done any promotional stuff like this before. Up to now, I have gotten business from word of mouth.

Thanks

I would also like to get some feedback on this. My guess would be if you know anyone from the high school, a student, maybe you could do a photoshoot with them and make some rep cards and ask him/her to hand those out.

I plan on doing referall cards for the reps, but I need to get the word out that I am offering this program.

Does your town have an on-line forum? That is one method that I have used. I got a decent response, but I ended up bailing because I went out of remission and couldn't follow through. But, the response was fine.

If your town has a community bulletin board, put a note there about it.

You could announce it possibly in the community events section of your newspaper if you're looking for a particular number of senior reps and you plan to shoot those reps for free (not free prints, necessarily, but definitely a free session...afterall they'll be your advertisers to the rest of the senior cl***.)

Other folks suggest also using Facebook to get the word out about these types of things. Does your local high school have a Facebook page? I am not sure how this 'fanning' thing works, but if you join the school's page and announce it on your own, would the update show up on the school's page? It is something to look into anyway.

Best of luck to you!
